Who I am
dedicated and down-to-earthFor over 12 years, my mission has been to deliver a better real estate experience that goes beyond expectations. Through patient guidance, in-depth knowledge, and uncompromising service, I achieve superior results as a client advocate and advisor, not as a "salesperson". While I have the utmost respect for the trust that buyers and sellers place in me, I also strive to make the process fun and enjoyable.
neighbourhood navigatorBorn and raised in Toronto, with a brief interlude in Victoria B.C., I am fortunate to call Toronto home for over 30 years. I love this flourishing city, and am inspired by its expression of character and community. From High Park, to Bedford Park, to The Henry Farm, Leslieville, and The Beach, I feel strongly connected to Toronto's many desirable neighbourhoods. In concert with client lifestyle and needs assessment, I tap this connection to promptly devise a strategy for matching buyers to spaces and neighbourhoods that best suit their personalities and aspirations.
versatile and hands-onCourt-ordered sales, HGTV-worthy transformations of long-vacant houses, complicated family dynamics, homes with criminal pasts, and even sudden wasp infestations minutes before an open house....I have personally been involved with almost every type of real estate transaction imaginable. Whether its carrying couches down stairs for staging, restraining housecats during showings for feline-phobic buyers, or running the gauntlet of City Hall clerks to investigate zoning issues, I'm always ready to jump into action to make life easier for my clients.
Who I am notI'm not much into ego or agent stereotypes, so you won't find my face on billboards, calendars, and the sides of streetcars. I'm all about Toronto houses and condos, so you won't find me selling restaurants in Scarborough strip malls, or hobby farms in the fringes of the GTA. And while I do consistently win sales awards, you won't find me bragging about how many houses I sell, or how I got 500% over asking for a listing that was 400% underpriced :)
What I believe inIt's a privilege to help clients through the challenges of the real estate transaction, and thus, building trust and maintaining integrity are foremost. I believe in directly working with clients, and not hiding behind gaggles of assistants and junior agents. I am not driven by the quantity of sales, but rather, the quality of the client experience, and on building lasting client relationships. I believe that having the backing of a strong and integrous brokerage adds value to clients, which is why I choose to work with RE/MAX Hallmark.
Why I am a BrokerBuying my first power-of-sale house and becoming a landlord at 21 introduced me at a relatively young age to some of the complexities of the industry. During the coming years, as I served in management as a special events co-ordinator, front-of-the-house manager, and sommelier for Oliver & Bonacini restaurants, I undertook numerous renovation projects in my spare time, and gained an appreciation for design and construction in the process. While I much enjoyed being part of the dynamic and customer-focused OB organization, I felt a strong calling to become fully immersed into the Toronto real estate industry.
Since becoming licensed in 2004, my passion for helping Toronto home buyers and sellers has been unrelenting. The hours are often long and unpredictable, but I find nothing more rewarding than being part of my client's purchase of their perfect home, or the successful sale of a beloved home that we have been thoughtfully preparing for market.
What I like to do when not helping clientsAs a former sommelier and pastry chef, I'm a fan of good food, and even more so I find joy in preparing it. As a resident of The Beach, I take advantage of our incredible access to the outdoors at some point every day. You might find me cycling on the Martin Goodman Trail, jogging the Glen Stewart ravine, or even kiteboarding at Kew Beach.
How I give back
- As a supporter of the Children's Miracle Network, a portion of all of my sales is donated to this important charitable organization that supports hospitals for children in Toronto and beyond.
- On a biweekly basis, I contribute some of my time to the distribution of the Beach Metro Community News. This non-profit local newspaper is distributed by scores of neighbourhood volunteers.
- I am proudly part of a "Women In Real Estate" group of Toronto Realtors®. Like-minded, but coming from a range of backgrounds and brokerages, we freely contribute knowledge, expertise, and support to each other so that we can all deliver extraordinary levels of service, and help raise the standards in the industry.
