A brief while ago, I took an afternoon to wander the streets of Dufferin Grove after showing a client a home.  The home was in one of the neighbourhood’s hidden treasures, a beautiful old church that had been converted into fabulously funky loft condominiums.  Taking the time to tour the old neighbourhood where I used to live reconfirmed my belief that it truly is beautiful here.

Dufferin Grove Park: a community gathering place like no other

The heartbeat of this community, comprised mainly of young families, is centred on Dufferin Grove Park.  This immense park is more than a collection of slides, swings and sandboxes.  It is alive with bustling activity and community synergy.  Residents have access to ice rinks, basketball courts, outdoor wood-burning ovens, campfire pits, wireless internet and more.  Couples can enrol in “Dusk Dances”, as their children attend plays at the Clay and Paper Theatre.  The park’s Farmers’ Market sells local organic produce, and prepares dishes for customers to sample at A Taste of the Market.
