Don Mills Homes

If you are looking for a quiet, family-oriented community in Toronto that offers lots of space and excellent value, consider the homes of Don Mills.  A few of the great features of Don Mills are:

  • Established, Diverse Neighbourhood
Built mainly in the 1950’s and 1960’s, homes in Don Mills encompass the complete range of styles from the era, including side splits, townhouses, numerous bungalows, and wide 2-storey homes.  In addition, various condominiums and apartments are very nicely integrated.  I find that because the community was so carefully planned, and since there are not as many newer developments and stuccoed homes as in other parts of North York, a lot of its beauty stems from its relatively seamless flow and mature diversity.

  • Outdoor Fun for the Family
Many homes feature generous driveways located on quiet, winding streets, which is highly conducive to games of street hockey, pickup basketball, and other neighbourhood recreation for the young and young at heart.  Bond Park off of Leslie is a major hub for youth baseball leagues throughout North York.  If golf, tennis, and curling are more to your liking, the lovely Donalda Club at Don Mills and York Mills provides a family-friendly escape for these pursuits.  Find your Don Mills dream home

  • Ravine Oasis
Even if you do not live directly overlooking the Don Valley Ravine, living in Don Mills instils a sense of being in a community within a forest.  Mature trees gracing homes with large lots contribute to this feeling.  Taking a stroll through the luscious Edwards Gardens confirms it.  If you follow the path from Edwards Gardens right down to Lake Ontario, you will feel like you have journeyed through miles of rural country valleys, all right from your doorstep.

  • Work Where You Live
Celestica and Foresters are two of many sizeable employers with facilities right on Don Mills Road.  The office towers close to York Mills, and a little further north on Lesmill, makes for an effortless commute for many residents.  For those that need to travel Downtown, the Don Valley Parkway and Bayview Extension are scenic and relatively easy drives.

Don Mills Real Estate Boundaries

The Don Mills community spans from Leslie Street to the Don Valley Parkway, and from York Mills Road down to Eglinton Avenue East, all within the former City of North York.  If you appreciate Don Mills homes, you might also enjoy the lovely homes in the Henry Farm, just up Don Mills, north of Highway 401.

Don Mills homes are within Toronto Real Estate Board District C13
